BODY TYPES
There are three main body types for individuals: Ectomorph, Mesomorph or Endomorph.
Each body type however can learn and gain benefit from exercise, especially the hard, vigorous exercise that is achieved through the myriad of exercises from jumping rope.
MESOMORPH: An individual with a robust, muscular body build caused by the predominance of structures developed from the embryonic mesodermal layer predominate.
Typical traits of an Mesomorph:
•Athletic
•Hard body with well defined muscles
•Rectangular shaped body
•Strong
•Gains muscle easily
•Gains fat more easily than ectomorphs
ECTOMORPH: An individual having a lean, slightly muscular body build in which tissues derived from the embryonic ectodermal layer predominate.
Typical traits of an Ectomorph:
•Small “delicate” frame and bone structure
•Classic “hardgainer”
•Flat chest
•Small shoulders
•Thin
•Lean muscle mass
•Finds it hard to gain weight
•Fast metabolism
ENDOMORPH: An individual with a robust, muscular body build caused by the predominance of structures developed from the embryonic endodermal layer.
Typical traits of an Endomorph:
•Soft and round body
•Gains muscle and fat very easily
•Is generally short and “stocky”
•Round physique
•Finds it hard to lose fat
•Slow metabolism
